Charles Jones died of disease during United States Civil War.

Charles was born in 1843. He was the son of Hezekiah Jones and Jane Sine. [1]

His family moved to Rockford Illinois in 1855. [2]

In July 1862 Charles enlisted as a drummer with the 74th Regiment, Illinois Infantry, company D. He died of disease in Murfreesboro April 17, 1863. [3][4]
