Biography

Lois was born 12 Oct 1762 in Southbury, Connecticut. Her parents were Gideon Johnson and Dorcas Hickok. She is mentioned in both of their wills when probated. ^[1][2][3]

Lois married John Coe Apr 23 1781 in Southbury, Connecticut.

John had served in American Revolution and later received a pension, where Lois was included.^[4][5][6]

In the 1840 census Lois was living with John in Gerry, Chautauqua, New York.^[7]

In the 1850 census Lois (age 88) was with her son Henry and his family in Ellery, Chautauqua, New York, United States.^[8]

Lois died Aug 27 1851 in Ellery, Chautauqua County, New York. She was buried in Red Bird Cemetery, Ellery, Chautauqua County, New York. ^[9]
