Jane Johnson was daughter of John Johnson, a merchant Taylor of London. She was probably the Jane Johnson who was baptised at St Augustine Watling St., in the City of London on the 7th of July 1580. [1] The church no longer exists, it was destroyed during the Great Fire of 1666, rebuilt, then bombed during the second world war, leaving only the 17th Century tower. [2]
On the 2nd of November 1602 at St Mary the Virgin, Leyton in Essex she married RichardTrafford. [3]
Sometime after 1613 Jane married, as his second wife, William Byrd (or Bird). [4] They had no children. [4]
William died in 1624 and was buried on the 5th of September. [4]
Jane's third husband was Sir William Acton, Bart. [5] She had no children with this William, either. [5]
William Acton is said to have died on the 22nd of January 1651. [5]
Jane is said to have died in 1645 being buried on the 1st of March. [4]
Jane is however said to have survived William. More sources needed.
