Birth & Upbringing: Henry was born in 1946 at Umtali. He was the son of Margaret and Frank Jeffery.
Family: He married Christina Dye at Uckfield, Sussex in April 1968 [1]
Vocation: Henry did service in the Metropolitan Police, London, England before joining the BSA Police in July 1971; Reg.No.8660; served until September 1976. John first served at Mabelreign, Salsibury and then transferred to CID Bulawayo, before moving to Special Branch in 1974.
Demise: Killed in action - urban terrorist incident while serving as a Detective Section Officer with Special Branch in Luveve; Bulawayo (Operation Tangent). [2] [3].
Burial: John Jeffery's semi-military funeral was held at the Athlone Cemetery, Bulawayo, on 7 September 1976.
