Hi,
I am looking for informations on the Jackson Family that came from England and settled in New York around 1815.
The head of the family is Daniel (Gedalya) Jackson (1780-1841) who had several children with Mary Phillips (1780-1847)
Their family is among the "600 First american Jewish Families", who are cited in the Malcolm H. Stern book.
They are related to Mordecai Manuel Noah (1785-1851) through his marriage with Sarah Rebecca Jackson (1810-1866) daughter of Daniel Gedalya.
I am a descendant from Joseph A. Jackson (1811-1873), brother of Sarah Rebecca. He was pawnbroker in New-York.
The other siblings include : John Daniel (1807-1880), Abraham Jacob (1815-1877), and Louisa, an adopted daughter.
Feel free to contact me if you come from that Jackson branch.

I joined the wiki tree because I am working on my family tree. I am French. I was wondering if I could find some living "Jacksons" descending from common ancesters, before one of them travelled abroad. I'll try to look for some ancesters I am sure of, and see where it leads.
Thank you for your welcome message. Emmanuel
