Biography

When Thomas Patrick Jackman was born on March 14, 1898 in Renews, Newfoundland, Canada, his father Thomas A. Jackman Sr was 39 and his mother, Margaret Flynn was 28. Tragically, his mother died in 1909 when he was 11 years old. At the age of 20, in August of 1922, he made the journey to the USA through Ellis Island. He married Margaret McKnight Sept 30, 1923 in Kings, NY. They had 6 children during their marriage. His father, Thomas Sr. died in 1938 when he was 40 years old. Thomas Patrick himself passed away on May 2, 1942. He was 44 years old.

Mystery of his Death

The circumstances surrounding the death of Thomas Patrick Jackman Jr. remain shrouded in mystery. His grandchildren, who never had the chance to meet him but heard stories about him, were informed that he met his demise by falling under a moving subway train in Boston.
