He died on September 26, 2012, at age 64, in Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois,and was buried in the Camp Butler National Cemetery.^[1]

"Billy" Jack, 64, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at his residence.Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield with Rev. Robert Gebhardt officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors.
