McBain-273 and Jack-1976 appear to represent the same person because: McBain-273 is my great great grandmother on my Father's side. His father Wallace Jack, His grandfather Charles Jack Jr. And Charles Jack who was the wife of Charles Jack Sr

harolds birth and death dates are on his profile. no way connected to your father. if you can check the census for mcminn and monroe countys 1830-1900 and later it will show 2 jacks family lines.

Thank you Tina. I have never been to Valcartier and don't know H. Wolff. I do know that a lot of the family remained in the town but my branch went to Ottawa. There are complaints from Alexander Joseph Wolff that his land was too rocky and swampy.

Tina, I do have an extensive Jacques/Jack ancestor information from Quebec. My 10th generation Great Grandfather had a brother named Nicolas. I believe he was the only one that went to Canada instead of the United States. I have a copy of a marriage certificate for him in Canada.

How is it going so far, were the Member How-Tos pages helpful or did they leave you with questions?

Clicking your green tags shows members who follow that tag. Add tags other family surnames, for locations and Interests. The more tags you add the more links to community & research options Information on tags is on page one of the How To pages.

We want to help you learn about the site and the community, hopefully you found the pages and links useful. I have page one bookmarked for reference page

Hello,

My grandmother is Alma McCartney. The person who firstly created her info is John Nash. It is blocked for me to add additional information about her family. Considering she is my grandmother, how do I get this unblocked? My father Douglas Jack has provided additional information to put up. I have been add on my Mother's side and would like to do so for my Father's as well.

You can go to Alma's profile page and on the right hand side under "Collaboration" click on "Request to join this profile's Trusted List." You can explain that she is your father's mother and you have information to add to her profile. You should also ask if your father is one of the "private sons" listed on her profile. If so, you should ask to be added to his Trusted List as well, preferably as Profile Manager since he is your father. If John Nash does not respond in a reasonable period of time, let me know.

Shirley
