Research Note
This family appears to drop off the face of the UK, but there is a curious entry about a Charles Prugeon Innes from Berlin, Germany who emigrated to the United States. Further research determined he was the son of Charles and Harriett and this confirms why the family disappeared from the census records - they had spent some time in Germany. Perhaps that is where the rest of the family resided, while Charles Jr, wound up with a job as a boat builder in New York and ended up serving in the military.
