Biography

Sarah was born in 1827. She is the daughter of John Hutton and Sarah Ashworth. Sarah was baptized on 16 May 1827 at St Mary's, Blackburn, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom ^{[1] [2]}

In 1841 she was living with her family at 9 George Street, West, Blackburn, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom. She was working as a PL Weavr. ^[3]

In 1849 she had a daughter named Sarah Ann Hutton ^[4]

In 1851, according to the England Census, Sarah was 24, working as a Cotton Weaver, and living on Back George Street, Blackburn, Lancashire, England. Her father had passed away 2 years earlier, so she was living with her mother, step sister, her daughter and niece. ^[5]

Sarah passed away at the age of 29 in Blackburn. She was laid to rest on 29 March 1857 at Blackburn St Peter, Blackburn, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom. ^[6]

Research Notes

It's possible that Sarah Ann Hutton, daughter, is actually the daughter of her sister AnnAnn. They were living together with other family members in 1861, however, it's possible the women simply lived together because they always had lived together with the mother/grandmother Sarah (Ashworth).
