Biography

Lera Hutcheson Williams was born July 25, 1899 in Georgia.

She married George Williams.

On the 1930 Census, she was listed as a 30 year old, white female livingin Buncombe, Haralson County, Georgia with her husband and children: Pauline Williams, Grady Clifton Williams, J.B. Williams, Frank Williams, Geneva Williams, Beatrice Williams, and Doyle Williams. Her birthplace was listed as Georgia, as were the birthplaces of her parents. She married at the age of 16, and she could read and write.

On the 1940 Census, she was listed as a 40 year old, white female living in Buncombe, Haralson County, Georgia with her husband, George, and children: Grady Williams, J.B. Williams, Frank Williams, Geneva Williams, Beatrice Williams, Doyle Williams, Walter Williams, Irene Williams, Bobby Williams, Betty Williams, and Kathleen Williams. The highest level of school that she completed was the 8th grade. She lived in the same house in 1935.

She died on October 26, 1970 in Georgia. She was buried at Providence Baptist Church in Tallapoosa, Haralson County, Georgia.
