Ida Husted Harper was born in 1851 in Fairfield, Franklin County, Indiana to John Arthur Husted and Cassandra Stoddard.
She was a suffragette and a co-author of the monumental History of Women Suffrage and published a three volume biography of Susan B. Anthony, The Life and Work of Susan B. Anthony.
Her mother Cassandra Louise (Stoddard) Husted (1823-1892) is a descendant of William Erastus Harvey Sr. (1754-1826) and his wife Jane Beebe, via their daughter Lucretia Harvey Lucretia Harvey (1787-1851), m. 1805, 2nd wife of Daniel Stoddard (1768-1852).
"William Harvey (1754-1826) served as a private in Capt. Abraham Filer's company, 1775. He was captured at the battle of Monmouth and confined no a prison ship for eighteen months. In 1818 he was placed on the Vermont pension roll. He was born in East Haddon, Conn.; died in Lyndon, Vt. Also No. 72505
