- @NI4433@ NOTEWHEN NATHAN HUNTER WAS WOUNDED IN THE SKIRMISH AT ST. MARY'S BRIDGE DURING THE CIVIL WAR, HE WAS LEFT IN THE UNDERBRUSH BY TWO FELLOW SOLDERS. HE WAS LATER RESCUED BY MEMBERS OF THE FRAZIER FAMILY AND WAS HID IN THE CORN CRIB BECAUSE OF THE UNION TROOPS STILL IN THE AREA. NATHAN DIED AND WAS BURIED WITH MRS. FRAZIER'S PLANTING FLOWERS ON HIS GRAVE SO AS NOT TO AROUSE SUSPICION.
- NATHAN'S SON JOHN C. HUNTER WAS CONTACTED AND DUG THE BODY OF HIS FATHER UP AND BROUGHT IT BACK TO LAKE CITY AND REBURIED HIM AT BETHEL CEMETERY. THIS WINTER WAS VERY COLD AND JOHN HAD TO GO THE LONG WAY AROUND TO GET THE FRAZIER FARM BECAUSE OF THE UNION ARMY IN THE AREA. THIS CAUSED JOHN TO CONTRACT PNEUMONIA WITCH HE NEVER RECOVERED. JOHN DIED A FEW WEEKS AFTER BRINGING HIS FATHER'S BODY HOME AND WAS BURIED BESIDE HIM.
