Fred Allen Hunkins was born on 25 February 1910 in Muskingum, Ohio, United States, son of Edwin J Hunkins (1876–1955) and Louise Estella Barcus (1886– ).[1]

"Funeral services for Fred A. Hunkins, 96, of Frazeysburg, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, with the Rev. Clarence Dinnen officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
Mr. Hunkins died Thursday morning, Aug. 24, 2006, at the home of his daughter... in Newark.
Born Feb. 25, 1910, in Muskingum County, he was the son of the late Edwin J. and Louisa E. (Barcus) Hunkins. He retired as district superintendent of production from the Pure Oil Co. after 32 years of service. Afterwards, he worked for nearly 10 years at Rockwell International in Newark. Mr. Hunkins was a member of the Nashport United Methodist Church.
Surviving are four daughters; two brothers; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Ida F. (Sensibaugh) Hunkins, whom he married June 24, 1938, and who died Feb. 3, 1995; four brothers; and three sisters."[6]
