James Edward Hullinger, 71, of Roosevelt, died September 1, 1981 in Roosevelt.

He was born Oct. 3, 1909 in Vernal to Harvey J. and Annie M. Cook Hullinger.

He married Laura Hamblin May 31, 1934. He farmed for a time, then sold, and worked for Duchesne County until his retirement.

he is survived by his wife, sons Arvin, Orem, and Lynn, Paris, Texas, and a daughter, Mrs. Emmitt (Sharon) Pittman, Cedarview, and 15 grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Charles, Pleasant Grove; Lawrence, California; and sisters, Mrs. Melvin (Phoebe Perry, Vernal; Violet Raine, California; and Laura Sproul, Nevada. He was predeceased by a brother, William, and a sister, Mabel Neilsen.

He was active in the LDS Church, being a High Priest and serving in numerous positions throughout his life.
