Biography

The daughter of Stanley Hulett and his first wife, Helen (Schwab) Hulett, Dorothy Hulett was born in Detroit, Michigan[citation needed] in 1917. Her mother passed away in 1920 and afterward, Dorothy lived in Detroit with her father and sister.[1] Her father remarried later that year, marrying Harriet (Betteridge) Hulett. In 1930, Dorothy lived in Detroit with her father, stepmother, sister, and step-siblings.[2] In 1940, Dorothy lodged in Highland Township, Michigan, residingin the home of Bernice Gaulin and working at an automobile factory.[3]

Dorothy moved west to California where, in 1944, she married Gerald Braden, the son of John Ludwick Braden and Frances Ethel White, marrying in Los Angeles County on July 6, 1944[4] and taking up residence together in Burbank, California.[5]

Widowed in 1877, Dorothy remarried in 1980, marrying Julian Aylward Jr, the son of Julian Thomas Aylward and Mary Gertrude Hoemer in Los Angeles County on May 17, 1980.[6]

Dorothy Aylward passed away in Camarillo, California[7][8] at the age of 77 and is buried at Santa Clara Cemetery and Mortuary in Oxnard, California.[9]
