Margaret married Daniel Sims on 17 Apr 1863 at the parish church in Knocknamuckly, Armagh, Ireland. Neither had been married before, and both were living at Ballynagarrich; Daniel was a pensioner aged 37, Margaret was a weaver aged 21. Their fathers were named as John Sims (labourer) and George Hughes (weaver). The witnesses were William Dickson and Sarah A* Hughes. [1]
Daniel died on 11 Dec 1884 at Edinderry, Portadown, Armagh. He was 62 and an army pensioner, and had been suffering from bronchitis for 3 weeks. The death was registered by his wife Margaret, who lived in Edinderry. [2]
Margaret died on 15 Mar 1898 in Castle Street, Portadown of phthisis, which she'd suffered for a year; her age was recorded as 58, and she was described as an army pensioner's widow. Her daughter Margaret Montgomery of Castle Street, Portadown registered the death. [3]
