Project Coordinator for Membership
Global Cemeteries Project
Weve made some exciting changes to the Global Cemeteries Project. The sub-projects have been merged into the Global Project to help with Leadership and to facilitate collaboration.
Some roles within the project have changed. From now on, there are Project Coordinators for each continent, and one for Welcome and Integration, plus Team Leaders for each individual Country etc.
Please let me know if youd like to stay on in the new project, if youd like to continue in an existing role, and which team(s) youd like to be on. Please also give me your e-mail address so that I can get you added to the projects Google Group.
I was looking through the Cemeterist list, and saw your name listed. Greetings fellow West Virginian! ^_^ I am a native of Chester, West Virginia, in Hancock County (top of Northern Panhandle).
Anyways, I was so excited to see that you were working on the state's cemeteries also.
If you ever need a look up from this part of the state, let me know and I will be happy to try to help.
Hi, Billy, thanks for joining the Global Cemeteries Project (GCP)! Please review the information weve posted on the GCP home page, the U.S. Cemeteries page and the West Virginia subproject page. If you have any questions, feel free to get back to me or your states project coordinator, Terri Rick. Also, please join our Google+ Community, where many of our members post information related to the project. I'm awarding you a Cemeterist badge today, so welcome aboard, we appreciate your help!
Hi Billy, thanks for your interest in the Global Cemeteries Project! Please let me know what state (or states!) you plan to survey cemeteries in, and I'll award you a Cemeterist badge ASAP. Thanks again!

How are things going? A couple of tips for you as you add to your tree. If you find a duplicate profile, and complete a merge, all the information from one merge is copied into the new combined profile. Please go in and edit the Biography section and put information under the correct headers and removed "duplicate" information.
Also, don't create "unknown" profiles. If you don't have a last or first name, note the related information in the related profile's biography section until additional information is found.
If you don't have a date or place of birth, at least try and estimate that information and note that it is an estimate in the Bio section.
And lastly, source as you go, because if you're like me, you won't remember where you found the info. Nae
Hi! How are things going? Do you have any questions? Two week member!
As you go farther back in your tree, it is a good idea to do a search first to see if you have a match already created on Wiki Tree before creating a new profile. And keep in mind, if you do find a match, odds are the manager is also related to that person and probably you!
There is a great question to review on G2G regarding duplicate profiles and merges. See: http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/51703/behind-merges-identifying-lowest-numbered-profile-correct
A great place to ask specific question is on G2G. Under My Wiki Tree (on of the links at top right) select G2G PROFILE. You can browse/ask/answer questions. You can also "tag" them by topic.
I am a mentor, so let me know if you have any questions! Nae
Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.
How To Use WikiTree is a good place to start. It is a step-by-step-guide to WikiTree basics. Our Forum is searchable or you can post a question there. The Help Index is also an important place to find how to do most tasks.
It is very important that no duplicate profiles are created in WikiTree. Please read this page for clues on avoiding profile duplication.
Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.
Thank you, Billy, for volunteering to help grow our worldwide family tree.
Our Honor Code, G2G message forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages.
VERY IMPORTANT:
The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.
Our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please try very hard not to add any duplicates to our shared tree.
