M. Hudgens at Algood last Thursday, May 31, 1917, aged 81 years. He had been in poor health for some time. Mr. Hudgens was a gallant Confederate soldier, serving in Dibrell’s famous regiment. He was widely known and highly esteemed by a large circle of friends. He was laid to rest in the family lot at Williams graveyard on Friday beside his beloved wife, who preceded him to a better world server years. One by one the boys of “61 are passing away, but few of the gallant band being left in Putman county.
