Obituary - Charles A. “Chuck” Huckaby was born on May 08, 1924 to William D. and Ethel (Peters) Huckaby in Mayes County , Oklahoma . He passed away on August 21, 2007 at the age of 83 years, 03 months and 13 days in Chouteau. Mr. Huckaby was a lifetime resident of Mayes County with the exception of the time he spent serving his country in the United States Navy from 1941 until 1966. He was a highly devoted veteran and was a member of the American Legion in Spavinaw and also the V.F.W. in Chouteau. He had served as Past State Commander and Post Commander of the V.F.W. as well as other offices within the organization. He enjoyed fishing, watching pro wrestling, roller derby and baseball. Spending time with his family was the most important part of his life. Recently he was self employed as a locksmith. Mr. Huckaby is survived by two daughters, ..... Five sons,..... Five Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by the mother of his two oldest children, Nanette Wilson of Turley , Oklahoma . He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother and wives Rosella and Ardis Huckaby. [Stephens-Key Funeral & Cremation Care]
