Charles was born in 1809.
The 1850 census shows him with wife Hannah and three children.[1]

A Hoyt genealogy lists Charles as a child of Josiah and Mary Hoyt who married Hannah Mathes [sic] and resided in Darien, Connecticut. His parents were Josiah (12 Jun 1773 - 1 Dec 1818) and Mary Warren, married 18 Jun 1797. Mary was living at the time of publication, 1871.[2]
He passed away in 1900. Buried at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien, Fairfield, Connecticut.
