Biography

Elizabeth was born in 1834. She was the daughter of Charles Howlett and Elizabeth Croft.

She came to Western Australia with her parents on the Palestine, arriving on 28 April 1853.^[1]

She married John Summers in 1861 in Perth.^[2] They only had one child, a daughter who died in infancy.

John died in 1885 and Elizabeth married the widower Archibald Edgar on 12 November 1888 in Perth.^[1]

Mrs. Archibald Edgar (formerly Mrs. John Summers) was found dead in bed at her residence yesterday, but as there were no suspicious circumstances and a medical certificate was forthcoming, the coroner did not consider an inquest necessary. The funeral took place this afternoon.^[3]
