Biography

Philip Howlett was born in Newtown, Ebbw Vale, Wales on 25 April 1874. The birth certificate has "Hulet" as his surname, and does not give him any middle name.

He came to South Australia with his parents and half-sister in 1876⁠^[1].

He married Ambrosine Adelia Worden, generally known as Amy, at Glenelg, South Australia, on 14 April 1800.

Phil and Amy had two children who survived infancy: Philip Thomas Michael Howlett and Ann Eva (Howlett) Veale.

Philip John Howlett died in Adelaide, South Australia, on 10 March 1947⁠^[2].
