Biography

Normand was born in 1961, the third child of Reginald and Gertrude (Filteau) Howes. He grew up in North Jay and married in 1984. He and his wife owned Howie's Welding and also operated the apple orchard at their home on Woodman Hill in North Jay. Normand and his wife had two sons. Normand inherited the gene for familial hypercholesterolemia from his mother and died of a heart attack at age 35 in 1996.
