(Hower-363) Benjamin Franklin Hower was the son of(Proctor -Proctor-6049Rachel Proctor Hower Steele Poorman and Joseph Hower. He lived from 1859 to 1926. (Baum-1852) He married Susan Baum Hower. Obituary-Bluffton Evening News, Wells County, IN; June 5, 1926 Relatives at Craigville received word of the death of B. F. Hower, of Columbia City, who died Friday afternoon at 3:40 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. N. Hoover. Death was caused by paralysis. Mr. Hower formerly lived in Craigville where he ran a general store. He later moved to Plymouth, Indiana, where he lived until going to the home of his daughter. He also lived in Ossian for a time. Children surviving are Mrs. R. N. Hoover, of Columbia City; Mrs. Frank [Gertha M.] Myers, of Craigville; Mrs. Sadie Rogers, of South Whitley, and Herbert Hower of South Whitley. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Zion C. U. Church at Honduras. Burial will be made at Honduras.
