Biography
MICHAEL NOLAN HOUSWER, 76, dropped dead at his home at Mondell, near Sharpsburg, yesterday afternoon of a heart attack. Houser had been assisting in the butchering of porkers and was engaged in a minor task when he was suddenly stricken. Deputy Stanzle said he was told by members of the family that Houser had been ill for eight years. The acting medical examiner for Washington County deemed an autopsy unnecessary.
Surviving are two brothers, Daniel P., Grimes Satation, and Charles B., Downsville; and several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Jacob and Rebecca Houser of the Sharpsburg district.
Funeral services were held at the Leaf Funeral Chapel; interment in Mountain View Cmetery, Sharpsburg.
