Biography
MRS ALICE REBECCA BAKER, 68, wife of John F Baker of Rt 1, Williamsport, died Tuesday evening at her home following a long illness.
She was born near Downsville, a daughter of Charles B Houser Sr and Emma K Wise Houser. She was a member of First Christian Church of Downsville.
Besides her husband, she is survived by daughters, Mrs. Dorothy J Sprankle, Hagerstown; Mrs. Nancy Lee Moser, Williamsport Rt 1; son, Charles R, Hagerstown; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles B Houser Jr, Fairplay; Joseph Houser, Boonsboro Rt 1; sisters, Mrs. Maude Betts, Boonsboro Rt 1; and Mrs. Fannie Shadrich, Hagerstown.
Services will be held Friday at 2 pm at First Christian Church, Downsville. The Rev Truman Christian will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Williamsport.
