Biography
Thomas Edward Housholder was born 21 Jan 1894 in Saline Township, Jefferson, Ohio.

When the 1900 census was taken, he was 6 years old (born Jan 1894) and living in Saline Township Irondale village, Jefferson, Ohio with his parents and four younger siblings.

In 1910 he was living with his family in Saline, Jefferson, Ohio.

He married Georgianna M. Cousins on 20 Oct 1917 in Wellsburg, Brooke, West Virginia.

In 1920 he and Georgianna were living in Hancock, West Virginia with their two young sons.

By 1930 the family had grown to have six children, and they were living in
Butler Magisterial District, Hancock, West Virginia.

In 1940 Thomas was a married lodger living in a household with Elsie Kidder, a divorcee) and her two teenage sons in Steubenville, Jefferson, Ohio. All four had been living in Hancock, West Virginia in 1935. Thomas worked as a roller in a steel mill.

He died on 23 Sep 1956

at Gill Memorial Hospital in Steubenville, Jefferson, Ohio

and was buried at Fort Steuben Burial Estates in Wintersville, Jefferson, Ohio.

At the time of his death, he was living in Bantam Ridge, Ohio and was employed at the Follansbee Steel Company. He had also worked for many years at the hot mill at Weirton Steel. He was survived by his wife Elsie Kidder Householder, a stepson Earl Kidder of East Liverpool, 3 sons, 3 daughters, 7 grandchildren (not named in his obituary), 7 brothers, Clarence, Wilson, Ronald, Raymond, Wayne, Henry and Harold Householder, all of Hammondsville and 4 sisters, Mrs. Launa Lyons of Chester, Mrs. Susan Plunkett of Hammondsville, Mrs. Mabel Rockenhiser of Wellsville, and one not named in the obituary.

Research Notes
One transcribed version of his birth record on familysearch.org shows his birth in June, but the one cited here shows January. The January date appears correct because it agrees with the 1900 census, his WW1 draft registration card, WW2 draft registration card and his obituary.
