Biography

Simon H. Householder was born on 14 May 1783 and baptized on 22 Jun 1783 in Hagerstown, Washington, Maryland, the son of George Michael Haushalter and Susan Pauline Hager. ^[1]

He married Margaret Souders about 1820.

In 1830 he was living in Bethel, Bedford, Pennsylvania, USA. ^[2]

He died on 28 Jul 1843 in Thompson, Fulton, Pennsylvania, USA ^[3] and was buried at Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Church and Cemetery in Warfordsburg, Fulton, Pennsylvania. ^[3]

Simon left a will, dated 29 May 1843 and proved 28 Aug 1843 in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. The will said he was "of Bedford County in the State of Pennsylvania". He named the following family members: ^[4]

• His birth date in the Maryland Births and Christenings source is different from the date on FindAGrave. FindAGrave has a gravestone photo, but it is hard to read.
• His will, written two months before his death said he was of Bedford County. The will was proved in Bedford County. Is there a source that shows he died in Thompson, Fulton, Pennsylvania?
