Biography
Emma de Houghton was born about 1131 in England and died about 1194 in Thorpe Arnold, Leicestershire, England. [1]
Emma, daughter of Pain de Houghton, married Arnold IV de Bois. [2]
Payn de Houghton presented to the church before 1161, and the advowson was shared by his daughters. Arnold de Bois II at the request of Emma his wife gave their moiety to Biddlesden Abbey to provide lights in the church for ever before 1189. [3]
