Either there were two men named Florence/Florance Hosler in Ohio or he could have been married more than once meaning that there was a divorce. In 1880, it looks like Florence is living with his parents in Zanesville: "United States Census, 1880," database with images, FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M8SC-9GK : 14 January 2022), Florance Hostler in household of George Hostler, Zanesville, Muskingum, Ohio, United States; citing enumeration district ED 184, sheet , NARA microfilm publication T9 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), FHL microfilm . His wife and daughter in 1880 are living with her mother in Zanesville. His wife married again in 1888.
