Obituaries

The Armidale Express and New England General Advertiser (NSW) - Tuesday 17 April 1894 - page 4[4]

WALCHA & DISTRICT.

I am sorry to have to record two deaths here within the last few days...The other was Mrs. George Jones, residing at Moona Plains, who died suddenly on Saturday night. (She) is to be buried on Tuesday in the Presbyterian cemetery.

The Armidale Express and New England General Advertiser (NSW) - Tuesday 24 April 1894 - page 5[5]

WALCHA & DISTRICT.

...The funeral of the late Mrs. George Jones took place on Tuesday afternoon last, and was largely attended. The Rev. Archdeacon Boss, D.D., conducted the services at the grave...

NOTE: the NSW online BDM indexes identify Hugh's birth date as the same as his mother's death date - 14 April 1894. Perhaps the informant was confused and noted the child's age at the time of informing of Sarah's death, rather than at the actual time of her death.
