Biography

Ellen was born about 1842.

"On the 30th ult, at Ballyshean Church (by the Rv Charles Archdall) Benjamin Woodward Esq., youngest son of Benjamin Higgins Woodward Esq., of Kidderminster, to Ellen, youngest daughter of of John Hopkinson Esq., of Ballintree House, Tipperary and Manton, Worksop, Notts" ^[1]

• It is important to note that these records are not 100% certain to be the correct Ellen (Hopkinson) Woodward, wife of Benjamin Woodward (1836-1915) and mother of Ellen Sybil Ann (Woodward) Pooler (1863-abt.1951), but based on location of the records/burial and where her children were living, it appears to be the most likely.
