Biography
Alan Hopkins, Born 1950's in Roper Hospital, Charleston, South Carolina. He attended Charleston County Public Schools, graduating Saint Andrews Parish High School in 1970's. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. Alan has three sisters, two live in the Charleston area, one lives with her family near Charlotte, N. C. Alan and his wife, Jane Murrell Charles, born in France, were married in the 1980's in the Church of the Holy Communion in Charleston, S. C. We have two adult children, one has recently married, the other attends graduate school and lives at home with us. Alan has been in financial services with the same company since the early 1980's.

Hope you and yours are safe and healthy. My great-great grandfather, George Drummond Hopkins's beginnings appear to be as mysterious as his end. Brick walls to the start of him and brick walls to the end of him! Building on the work of my family and others, tracing my maternal family and my father's mother's family back centuries has been done. For Captain George D. I've read through The Hopkins of Virginia, quickly to be sure, without success. Hints that he might be connected to Virginia's Accomack County on the Eastern Shore appear a reach but promising. (Both Hopkins's and Drummond's are in great abundance at the right times. I've even built some Hopkins Family Trees in that area. Thanks for your greeting. I'm excited to get started on my WIKITree participation. Apparently, I need to correct an error in my profile. In my preferred name field I entered "Alan Hopkins" so now my name reads as "Alan Hopkins Hopkins". It should read either "Justin Alan Hopkins" or my usual, "Alan Hopkins". I'll have a look at how to make corrections in my profile and go from there.
I have entered an extensive ancestry.com tree call the "Justin Hopkins Tree".
