Joseph Hooton was born in Middlesex, England.
Joseph Hooton was an Assisted Immigrant to New South Wales.

Joseph, son of Daniel Hootton & Sarah Hootton, was born on 17 November 1827, and baptised on 9 March 1828 in All Hallows, Tottenham, Haringey, England.[1]

Joseph (age 23), son of Daniel Hooton, married Rebecca Bettis on 9 March 1852 in St Philip, Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets, England.[2]

On 27 December 1852 Joseph, Rebecca and their 15 month-old daughter Harriet Ann boarded the ship Wilson Kennedy in Plymouth, bound for Australia. Harriet died during the voyage and was buried at sea. Another daughter, Sarah Jane, was born during the voyage.

Joseph passed away in 1902. [3]
