Biography

Nancy Greene is found on the United States Census of 1860, residing in Lawrenceville, Henry County, Alabama with her husband "EM Green" who was born in 1825, in Georgia. They have an eight year old son, "Flem Green" born in Georgia, a two year old daughter, Ida, born in Georgia, and a newborn son, born in Alabama. This indicates that they had lived in Alabama less than two years. Also living in the home is Martha Wooten, born circa 1832, in Alabama, possibly a sister of Nancy. ^[1]

35 year old "N.B.Green" is found on the United States Census of 1870, as head of household, residing in Crenshaw, Alabama with children Ida O. Green, and Edgar Green. Also residing in the home is 17 year old Samuel Thompson. ^[2]
