Biography

Annie (Hollinger) Dutton was born in Lancashire, England.

Annie Edith Hollinger (1896-1984) was born in Gwladys Street, Walton in Liverpool on the 21st September 1896. She was the youngest child of Jacob Hollinger and Annie McDonough ^[1] and she was christened on the 12th October 1894 at St Mary's church in Kirkdale. ^[2]

The family moved before 1901 when they were living on Muriel Street, Walton on the Hill. ^[3]

Annie was educated at Bedford Street school in Liverpool before transferring in 1907 to Arnot Street School ^[4] where she completed her education in 1910. They lived on Pentland Avenue, Anfield around that time. ^[5]

By 1911 the family had moved to Swanston Avenue, Walton ^[6]

She married Henry Edward Dutton at St Mary's church in Walton on the 10th July 1920. ^{[7] [8]}

Henry worked as a ship steward and within a few years they had 2 daughters. They spent a few years on Alexander Street, Kirkdale ^[9] before moving around 1938 to East Lancashire Road in Norris Green, Liverpool. ^[10] Her mother, by now widowed lived with them ^[11] and died during the war, as did her husband Henry in 1942.

She would remain at the address for many years afterwards, ^{[12] [13]}

Annie died on the 25th July 1984 ^{[14] [15]}

and was buried in Anfield Cemetery on the 30th September 1984. ^[16]
