Hi Mary,

Thanks for joining WikiTree!

As a mentor I'm here to help. If you have questions or problems with WikiTree, including with a GEDCOM, post a comment on my profile page or send me a private message.

  • Remember to include locations and sources in new profiles whenever possible.
  • Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so make sure to look for duplicates!
  • If you have royal ancestors, contact the EuroAristo Project to see about connecting to pre-existing lines.

Hi again Mary,

Thanks for volunteering to help grow our one world tree.

Please drop into our friendly Genealogist to Genealogist (G2G) forum to introduce yourself to other WikiTreers - you can access the G2G by selecting G2G Profile from your My WikiTree menu at the top right of most pages.

WikiTree can be a bit overwhelming at first, so don't hesitate to post your questions in the G2G.

Good luck with connecting your leaves and branches to our big tree,

Maryann

Hi Mary

WikiTree members are either volunteers who are helping to create the tree or they're family members and friends who get to enjoy the fruits of the tree without making serious genealogical contributions. See Volunteers]

Happy WikiTreeing

Maryann

Hello Mary,

You clicked on the volunteer button indicating that you would like to collaborate and add information. If that’s correct please leave another comment here on your profile, about how you intend to contribute. If you would like a few days to decide, that is fine as well - leave a message when you’re ready. If you are just looking for family or other researchers working on the same names as yours, you are welcome to do this as a guest. I can see you may have things to offer the community but if you are not sure ask a question on the forum. Hilary

Hi, I live in Delaware and have been doing geneaology for a few years; not a professional but still trying. I'm not sure what a volunteer does? I'm retired and do have time.

Hi, Mary. Thanks for checking out our site.

A few employees and a whole lot of volunteers are working together to create a FREE global family tree with only one profile per person. If you'd like to help us by adding your family branches or help to grow the tree in some other way, please select the volunteer button and leave a statement informing us of your interest in our project.

You're welcome to ask a question at G2G forum.

Our Honor Code helps to keep us friendly. Hope you'll join us. :)
