BRAEDLEY, Dorothy Muriel "Dot" - 86, passed away peacefully in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro, on September 18, 2004. Born March 29, 1918, in Sydney Mines, she was a daughter of the late James W. and Isabel Hollett. She resided at 28 Clyde Ave., Sydney Mines until moving to Truro in 1996. She was a member of Carman United Church, Sydney Mines and an adherent of First United Church, Truro. During her years in Sydney Mines, she was an active member of UCW and Harbourview Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by sons, David and wife Mary (Jollymore), Robert and wife Marie (Hill), Ronald and wife Susan (Hall); daughter, Jane and husband Ron Sutherland; sisters, Jean MacAulay (Robert), and Gladys MacLean (Boyd). She was the loving grandmother of David, Christopher, Anne, Ian, Kenneth, Charles, Katherine, Michael, Sarah, and Jeffrey. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, George William "Bill" Braedley, who she missed since his death in 1999. She was also predeceased by sisters, Effie, Martha, and Marjorie; brothers, Edward "Ted", Robert "Bob", James "Jim", and Cecil. Committal service and interment in Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines on Tuesday, September 21, at 1 p.m. Visitation with the family will follow in Carman United Church Hall. Donations may be made in her memory to Carmen United Church Memorial Fund or Parkinson's Society of Canada, Maritime Region.
