October 10, 1950 - June 14, 2013

Passed away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Friday, June 14, 2013, Melvin Hollett of Chance Cove, aged 62 years.

Predeceased by his father, Harold G. Hollett (February 16, 2007) and sister, Dorothy Courage (June 10, 2013).

Leaving to mourn and celebrate his life with thanksgiving are his three daughters, Benita (David), Jennifer and Laurie (Nick); seven precious grandchildren, Brandon, Keisha, Destinee, Gracie, Jessica, Jasmine, Mandy; his loving companion of 15 years, Mary Dunne and her children whom he loved dearly, Juanita, Denise (Ray) and their two children, Zachary and Coady; as well as his loving mother, Mary Hollett (Harold, deceased); seven brothers and four sisters, Eli (Mary), Raymond (Marjorie), Lorraine (Raymond) Acreman, Cecil (Daphne), David (Iris), Barry (Judy), Marilyn (George) Boyco, Ruby (Eugene) Smith, Georgina (Cleophas) Reid, Todd (Marilyn), Steven (Susan); brother-in-law, Roland Courage; as well as a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Resting at the Church of the Ascension, Chance Cove, on Saturday, June 15th at 2:00pm until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held from the Church of the Ascension on Sunday, June 16th at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Chance Cove.
