Martha Holland was christened on 25 Jun 1815 at St Helens Chapel of Ease in the parish of Prescot, Lancashire. She was the daughter of James and Mary Holland. Her father's occupation was recorded as bricklayer, and the family's address as Hardshaw. [1]

Martha married Thomas Glover on 4 May 1834 at the church of St Mary the Virgin in Prescot, Lancashire. Neither had been married before. Thomas was a bricklayer of Eccleston; Martha was of Windle. The witnesses were George Briers and Alice Lawson. [2]

Their daughter Ann was christened on 10 May 1835 at St Helens Chapel of Ease in the parish of Prescot, Lancashire. Her father's occupation was recorded as bricklayer, and the family's address as Windle. [3] She died at 9 months old, and was buried on 16 Dec 1835 at St Helens Chapel; her address was recorded as St Helens. [4]
