Jean Hogue Bryant, 82, of Danville, died December 4, 2019 in Lexington. Born August 29, 1937 in Danville to the late Fred Herbert and Mary Elizabeth Powell Hogue. Jean was a 1956 graduate of Danville High School. On, April 1, 1957, she married her husband, Stanley. In 1958 Jean helped run Bryant’s Camp on Herrington Lake with Stanley’s brother, Jimmy. Upon moving to Danville, she helped her parents at Hogue’s Grocery. Jean loved bluegrass music, rose gardens and the color pale pink. She was a member of Lexington Ave. Baptist Church. Jean is predeceased by her siblings, Vernie B. Hogue, Howard Hogue, Margie Tamme, Margaret Tyler, Mildred Rothrock, Sarah Hogue Barrick, Ruth Hogue, Earl Hogue and Stanley Hogue.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley Bryant; a daughter, Elizabeth “Betsy” Gayheart Stratton of Perryville; a son, Stanley “Bucky” Porter Bryant, Jr. of Danville; two grandchildren, Erica Ann (Tim) Sullivan of Stanford, Brandon Lynn (Victoria) Cain of Cynthiana; two great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Cain, Sydney Sullivan and a sister, Mary Elizabeth (Clyde B.) Hogue Wise of Mt. Sterling.
