My mom, Geraldine Margaret Hogue 17 Feb 1938, would be 86 today. She passed away 16 Oct 2001.
She was a very brave woman. She knew that keeping and trying to raise me was out of the question, giving me up for adoption was her only option. Not knowing what I would've been told, she decided she'd never try to find or make contact with me. How could she know that doing so would cause my adoptive mother great heartache or that not doing so would ultimately cause me great heartache? A mother’s instinct, not a daughter’s.
