Kathleen Erin Hogg, known primarily as Kathleen E. Woodiwiss, was the pioneer of the historical romance genre. Her first novel was "The Flame and the Flower' published in 1972.[1][2]
She was born on June 3, 1939, in Alexandria, Rapides County, Louisiana, the youngest of eight children of Charles Wingrove Hogg and Gladys Coker.[1]
She was married to Ross Eugene Woodiwss on July 20, 1956.[1]
She died on July 6, 2007, in Princeton, Mille Lacs County, Mississippi.[1][2] She is buried in Karmel Covenant Church Cemetery in Wyanett, Isanti County, Minnesota.[3]
