Donald was born in 1937. He was the son of Dallas Hoagland and Grace Gookins. He passed away in 2011.

Donald J. Hoagland, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at St. John's Health System, Anderson.

He was born Feb. 6, 1937 in Veedersburg, Indiana to Dallas M. and Grace Gookins Hoagland. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and a brother.

He married Helen D. Keeling Hoagland. She survives. He is also survived by his children, Nancy E. Michael and J. Todd (Amy) Hoagland, of Anderson; brother, Lawrence (Kathryn) Hoagland of Veedersburg; grandchildren, Danielle Maier, Travis Maier, Grace Hoagland and Sophie Hoagland; great-grandchild, Kairi Maier and several nieces, nephews and brothers-in-law.

He served his country in the U.S. Army.
