Elizabeth S Hinton was born in September 1848 in Covington, Kenton, Kentucky, United States, daughter of Dee Alfred Hinton (about 1804–about 1864) and Elizabeth Harford (about 1818–after 1850).[1]

Elizabeth (15) married David Valentine Auxier (24) (born on 30 April 1840 in Johnson, Kentucky, United States; son of Nathaniel Auxier and Hester Ann (Mayo) Auxier) on 2 August 1864 in Greenup, Kentucky, United States.[3]
Elizabeth (16) married Henry M Childs (34) (born about 1830 in Front Royal, Frederick, Virginia, United States) on 1 May 1865 in Boyd, Kentucky, United States.[4] [5]
In 1870, Henry and Bettie (25) Charles were living in Parkersburg, Wood, West Virginia.[6]
