Biography
He was a Cascade county rancher for over 40 years.
Hilt, who was born in Germany Aug. 5, 1884, immigrated to this country in 1892. He lived in the midwest before coming to Cascade county in 1918. He ranched in the Belt and Cascade areas until his retirement about three years ago. His wife, Eva died in 1953.
He was the son of Johanni Held (Hilt) and Regina Kirschner.
