Biography

Thomas S Hightower was born on February 15, 1815, in Clarke, Georgia, to Sarah Elizabeth Hightower and John Pucket Hightower, cousins. Some records, outsourced say his birth place was Social Circle.

He married Keziah Monroe Armstead on January 13, 1835, in Walton, Georgia. ^[1] They had nine children in 14 years.

He died on June 26, 1889, in Houston, Mississippi, at the age of 74, and was buried there in the Houston Cemetery. The inscription on his stone says: For Me to Die Is Gain. ^[2]
