Biography

1800, Nov. 4. Hlder, John, of Gloucester Twsp., and Co.; will of. Wife, Ann, all household goods and stock tha t she brought; a horse, 2 cows, 3 shoats, provisions; $20 yearly for life, all in lieu of doyver. Son, Isaac, % of plantation on which I live and cedar swamp; also Bible, % of yvearing apparel. Son, John, dwelling house, barn and rest of plantation, and other lands; also "his mother's Bible", silver watch and other % of yvearing apparel. Negroes to be set free. Four daughters, Hannah Ellis (and her child), Sarah Sparks, Margaret Walker, and Charity Hider, all moveable estate after debts are paid. Sums advanced them to be part of their shares. Executors—sons, Isaac and John. Witnesses—Ephraim S. Cheesman, Joseph S. Cheesman, Joseph Hedger. 1815, Oct. 13. Codicil. Money for which I am bound to Joseph Cooper to come out of Isaac's share. Son, John, a bed and bedding. To wife also the yvagon now built by Randall W. Morgan "for her to go to the Back Countries in", and to remain her property. Witnesses—Isaac S.
