Biography

William was born in 1867 in Peninsula Township, Grand Traverse, Michigan, United States. He was the son of William Erastus Hickox and Lovisa Eliza Porter. ^[1] He was the eldest of five children.

In the 1880 census William (age 13) was the son of William Hickox in Forest Home Township, Antrim, Michigan, United States.^[2]

William married Laura Ellen Gibbard about May 3, 1893 in Bellaire, Kearney Township, Antrim, Michigan, United States.^{[3] [4]} They had a son:

• Rex Jay Hickox, 1895-1954^[5]

Sadly, Laura (age 22) passed away in 1899.^[6]

Wm (age 36y), son of Wm. E. Hickox & Eliza Porter, married Rhoda Henning (age 23y) on 12 December 1903 in Bellaire, Antrim, Michigan.^[7] They had a daughter:
